“Sentience Machine are waking up the electric sheep with a full force dream-weapon.”

Steve Savale - Asian Dub Foundation

ABOUT US

Sentience Machine is a defiant force in the UK alt-rock scene, rising from the ashes of the global pandemic with a raw, rebellious sound that fuses gritty rock and pulsating electronics. Driven by a fearless commitment to social justice, the London-based band speaks truth to power through explosive tracks and high-voltage performances.

Their debut single, “Black Mirror,” is a dystopian anthem against Orwellian surveillance and data exploitation. Praised by Steve Savale (Asian Dub Foundation) and Charlotte Kelly (Soul II Soul), the track marked a powerful arrival; gritty, urgent, and unapologetic.

Follow-up single “Microscopic Enemy” delivered an emotional gut punch in response to the psychological toll of lockdowns, exploring the winners and losers of a fractured pandemic world. The track caught the attention of Converse US, adding momentum to the band’s growing reputation for socially charged, hard-hitting releases.

Their latest single, “Human Stigma” is a bold anti-racism anthem confronting prejudice with unflinching honesty. Mixed at the legendary Abbey Road Studios by Paul Pritchard (The Vaccines, Wolf Alice), the track combines razor-sharp lyricism with a surging wall of sound. The single was launched live at Rock for Unity on 7 March 2025, at The Camden Club, supported by Love Music Hate Racism and received recognition in Rolling Stone UK.

Fronted by the dynamic trio of Psibindi, Edward Abela, and Jamie Steenbergen, Sentience Machine blends powerhouse vocals, intricate musicianship, and intense live energy to deliver a sound that’s both urgent and unforgettable.

Sentience Machine has lit up stages across the UK, including The Water Rats, The Troubadour, Dublin Castle, Camden Assembly, Camden Club, Facebar, Craufurd Arms, and Oldham 33. With each show, they unite audiences through sound, resistance, and raw intensity.

Sentience Machine isn’t just a band. It’s a movement.
